A Summer To Remember
Over the Summer of 2012, Pooh & Friends offered a summer camp from July through August. Camp days were jam-packed with exciting educational activities, and every Friday offered a new field-trip to end the week with a blast. After a week of learning, these field-trips gave us first-hand experience on the topics of our focus. Here are some of the places we visited:
The Maritime Museum of Connecticut
Aquatic wildlife was this focus of this trip!
reelin’ in a big one!
looks like a tough job!
The Stamford Museum Nature Center
Here, we learned about arachnids through a special exhibition on Tarantulas.
being a spider ain’t too bad!
yikes! good thing we’re on this side of the glass!
We also visited the Nature Center’s petting Zoo:
some prefer to pet without touching
tractors are sort of like convertibles, right?
The Greenburg Nature Center
The Greenburgh Nature Center offered an exhibition about dirt, compost, and the general cycle of garbage. This visit introduced us to the notion of environmental responsibility which is so pressing today.
good times with good friends!
Irvington Park
Our visit to Irvington Park was just a chance to jump out and have a blast!!!
